We love children, however, we also want you to have a time of renewal without the demands of parenting. We do not accommodate children at Renew so that this is a time for you to rest. Children are welcome to remain at the hotel with a grandparent or sitter, but we do not recommend this. Take this time for you!  Leave the sitter at your house. If you are a nursing mother at the time of the retreat, please contact us directly about bringing your baby. 

The Renew team are followers of Christ who have found their faith to be essential in thriving as foster and adoptive parents.  We welcome parents of all faiths to join us. Renew welcomes speakers of many Christian denominations and faith traditions.

Yes!  We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn which is directly next to the host church. You can find that on the Acomodations page.

Attire is comfortable and casual.  On Friday afternoon we have outdoor activities so plan ahead for a variety of options.

A complimentary breakfast buffet is included in your hotel reservation. We will have coffee and snack breaks throughout the retreat.  Lunch is served on-site both days.

May is the perfect time to visit the coast. Weather is typically warm but not hot. Plan for outdoor activities and a variety of settings.

We will provide a certificate of training for all attendees. The certificate will say that the attendee completed 16 hours of training related to trauma, attachment and parenting issues in foster care and adoption. It will be sent by email after completion of the event.
